Delivery Date-Based Reserve: Amazon's Implementing a New Payout Period
Sorry, but you have to wait another week... Amazon, the e-commerce giant, has recently announced adjustments to its payout period. Sellers located in the United Kingdom and Europe will now have to wait until a week after an item is delivered to receive their earnings. This change will be implemented gradually over the next month, with full implementation expected by September 6th. The online marketplace has communicated to sellers in Europe and the United Kingdom that their Amazon Seller accounts will no longer be credited immediately after a sale is made.
Amazon has introduced a new policy called Delivery Date Based Reserve, which affects the timing of fund transfers to sellers. Under this policy, funds will be transferred to sellers one week after the delivery of an order. Consequently, in the event of a delivery delay, sellers will experience a longer waiting period.
