Fast, faster, Amazon! On July 31, Amazon.com Inc. revealed its plans to expand the number of same-day delivery facilities in the United States. This strategic move is aimed at solidifying Amazon's position as the frontrunner in the $1.4 trillion online shopping market.
Ensuring swift delivery remains a top priority for Amazon. According to the company, over half of all orders made by Prime subscribers in the 60 largest metropolitan areas were received within the same or next day during the most recent quarter. Moreover, Amazon reported delivering more than 1.8 billion items to Prime members in the U.S. through same-day or one-day delivery so far this year, marking a remarkable fourfold increase compared to the same period in 2019.

Meet Meta! According to the report, Meta is currently working on designing chatbot prototypes that aim to engage users with more humanlike discussions on its social media platforms. This initiative is intended to enhance the company's engagement levels and has been attributed to insiders familiar with the company's plans.
In addition, Meta is currently exploring the development of chatbots with unique personalities. One chatbot aims to mimic Abraham Lincoln's speech, while another takes on the persona of a laid-back surfer to provide travel advice. These chatbots will not only introduce a new search function but also offer personalized recommendations.
As Meta executives prioritize improving user retention on their newly launched text-based app Threads, the latest report reveals that the app experienced a significant decline, losing over half of its users within weeks of its release on July 5th.
