The Amazon Corner
Shop ‘N TikTok:Amazon & TikTok’s New Partnership
TikTok is continuing its push toward social commerce with a new integration with Amazon. This partnership allows TikTok users to make purchases within the app without having to leave for the Amazon website or app.
This move follows similar arrangements between Amazon and other social media platforms like Meta and Snapchat in an effort to tap into compulsive shopping behaviors. While some may be hesitant due to data privacy concerns, TikTok is hoping that convenience will win out in driving more purchases through their platform.
Big changes are coming to Etsy's Terms of Use on September 15th,as the company eliminates the option for existing sellers and buyers to opt out of its new arbitration clause. This means that in cases where a dispute is less than $25,000, there will be no in-person or telephonic hearing.
Sellers who previously chose not to opt out of the arbitration agreement may feel blindsided by this change, especially considering how significant it is. The only users who will have the chance to opt out are those who are new to Etsy within 30 days after accepting the Terms.
